If your broadband’s slow, particularly out in the villages, Starlink might be worth a look. The internet comes by satellite, but the kit still has to be fitted properly. The dish needs a clear view of the sky, and a cable has to get from the dish into the building. If you’d rather not do that yourself, we can do it for you.
What we can do
Every property’s different, so we’ll agree the details with you first. An installation can include:
- Finding a position with a clear view of the sky
- Fitting the dish securely in a spot you’re happy with
- Running the cable from the dish into the building as neatly as we can
- Putting the Starlink router where its Wi-Fi will reach furthest
- Getting it online and testing it with you before we leave
You order the kit and internet plan from Starlink. We’re an independent installer, not part of Starlink, so your plan and bill stay with them.
Why position matters
Starlink depends on an open view of the sky. Trees, chimneys and the buildings next door can block part of that view and cause short dropouts, and you might not spot them straight away. A position that looks fine from the ground won’t always be the best one, so we check before anything gets fitted.
Getting the connection around your property
Getting Starlink online is only the first part. Its router still has to send Wi-Fi through your walls like any other router, so thick walls and long gardens can leave you with weak spots. We can help with that as well:
- Extend Wi-Fi to hard-to-reach rooms with access points or mesh
- Get a connection out to a garage, shed or garden office
- Run wired connections to a PS5, Xbox, PC or TV
It’s often easiest to plan these at the same time as the installation, particularly if a cable’s going into the building anyway.
Rural homes and small businesses
If you live in a village or on the edge of town around Telford, Shrewsbury or Albrighton and your broadband’s slow, it’s worth comparing your options before you order anything. Farms, workshops and small businesses can use Starlink in the same way, and we’ll arrange a time that works around your business.
Ask about your Starlink installation
Send us an enquiry with your postcode and the type of building, and let us know if you’ve already got your Starlink kit. We’ll arrange a survey and send you a quote before any work starts.
