It’s hard to know where to start when the Wi-Fi keeps dropping out, the TV’s stopped working or a new tablet has just arrived in a box. And not everyone has family nearby who can pop round.
We’ll come to your house, find out what’s wrong and sort it out. Then we’ll show you how it all works, and you can take as long as you need.
What we can help with
- Wi-Fi that keeps dropping out, runs slowly in some rooms or has stopped working
- Getting phones, tablets, computers and printers onto your Wi-Fi
- Setting up a new tablet, smart TV, printer or router
- Connecting a smart TV to the internet and finding catch-up services and the apps you want
- Finding your Wi-Fi password and writing it down for you
- Plugging in and connecting new equipment from your broadband provider, including a landline that now runs through your internet connection
Not sure if we can help? Just ask. Describe the problem in your own words, and don’t worry about using the right terms.
Help for a parent or relative
You might live too far away to help in person, or you’ve run out of ways to explain it over the phone. You can send an enquiry on behalf of a parent, relative or friend and tell us who to speak to. We can keep you up to date, and you’re welcome to be there for the visit.
What happens on a visit
We’ll arrange a time with you. When we get there, we’ll ask what’s going wrong and what you’d like to be able to do. You’ll already have the price in writing, and if anything else needs doing, we’ll explain why and ask you first.
Before we go, we’ll make sure everything’s working and that you’re happy using it. We can write down the steps and any passwords for you to keep somewhere safe.
We never cold-call
Some people pretend to be from technology companies to get money or personal details out of you. We’ll never ring out of the blue to say there’s a problem with your computer or internet. We only come when you’ve asked us to, and we won’t ask for your bank details to fix a problem.
If someone else calls you like that, the safest thing is to hang up. If you’re worried, talk to someone you trust.
When the Wi-Fi’s the real problem
Sometimes the device is fine and the signal’s just weak in that part of the house. If so, we’ll explain your options, such as better coverage in hard-to-reach rooms. It’s up to you whether you go ahead.
